Episode summary

At the soccer gathering, someone scolds Yanis for eating too many sweets and tells him to choose fruit instead. There is no fruit left, and it turns out Yanis was supposed to buy apples, bananas, and pears—but he forgot the shopping entirely. The group pivots to the grill: meat and vegetables from the barbecue sound healthy enough, especially with potato salad on the side, which they jokingly claim does not make you fat either. Someone tries to excuse the feast by saying they are on vacation; another corrects him firmly—they are not on holiday, they are playing soccer. They promise to eat healthily starting tomorrow, just before a sudden “Ow!” hints that the game (or the snacks) may already have consequences for someone on the pitch.

Tips for shadowing this episode

Practice the pair Iss nicht … / Iss lieber … with your own snack words. Memorize three fruit plurals (Äpfel, Bananen, Birnen) with articles. When you hear gesund and dick in the same joke, restate both ideas in one neutral sentence for clarity.
