Episode summary

Lisa tells Nico they have a problem: he can stay in the shared flat for only two more days, then he must move. Nico takes the news calmly at first. The reason becomes clear—the heating is broken, and Sebastian, Nina, Nawin, and Lisa are going on vacation, so nobody will be home. Nico’s first idea is to look for a hotel, but that is called out as very expensive. A youth hostel is better, Lisa explains, or a hostel; both cost less than a hotel, and many young people overnight there. She also promises to ask friends and acquaintances whether anyone has a free room. Nico thanks her, ending the scene with a practical plan instead of panic: temporary cheap lodging while the WG is empty.

Tips for shadowing this episode

Memorize Du musst … as a clear structure for obligations, then swap in umziehen, arbeiten, warten. When discussing prices, keep nicht so teuer wie ready—it sounds natural and polite. Jugendherberge is long; break it into Jugend + Herberge when you first learn it.
